US Federal Reserve & global markets

Investors are evaluating the outlook for interest rates, inflation, and economic growth and are keeping a close eye on the global markets as well as the Federal Reserve in the United States. Stronger inflation pressures and rising oil prices can influence expectations for US monetary policy, while changes in interest rates can affect the US dollar, bond yields, stock markets, borrowing costs, and investment flows worldwide. Decisions made by the Federal Reserve have the potential to have significant repercussions for consumers, businesses, and emerging markets due to the centrality of the US dollar and US financial markets to the global economy.

India–China Relations: A Cautious New Chapter

India and China are showing signs of a cautious improvement in bilateral relations, following years of tensions along their disputed Himalayan border. During the recent BRICS Summit in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed border peace, trade, business links, supply chains and greater people-to-people exchanges. A fair and mutually acceptable approach to the boundary question was agreed upon by both parties, who emphasized that disagreements should not escalate into disputes. At the same time, there are still a lot of problems, especially with the border and India’s trade imbalance with China. The latest developments suggest that both countries are seeking to build greater stability, economic cooperation and long-term engagement while managing their differences.
